Smart and safe bus stop by Teleste extends LuxTurrim5G pilot ecosystem in Espoo

Teleste has built a smart and safe bus stop at the Nokia Campus in Espoo, Finland, as a part of the LuxTurrim5G ecosystem. The innovative bus stop has been designed to improve safety and security for public places through Teleste’s newly launched Connected Zone concept that was introduced in October during Teleste’s Security Seminar in Sweden, where the concept will continue to be developed and tested as a part of Teleste’s Smart City offering.

LuxTurrim5G helps establish Espoo in the world’s top 7 Intelligent Communities of 2018

LuxTurrim5G, the Nokia Bell Labs driven collaborative ecosystem project coordinated by Spinverse, enabled Espoo City to reach the finals of the Intelligent Community of 2018 contest. The Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) announced the seven finalists on the 8th of February in New York. The think tank describes the finalists as cities that have done the leap from Smart Cities to Intelligent Communities.

LuxTurrim5G shows first demos and great cooperation

Nokia Bell Labs driven LuxTurrim5G ecosystem project coordinated by Spinverse is proceeding well and with high speed.  This ambitious and multidisciplinary R&D project with 9 companies and 3 research institutes will bring fast 5G networks to street level and enable new digital services via smart light poles with integrated antennas, screens and a set of different sensors. First demos were shown at the event and piloting in Espoo starts soon as the first smart light poles are being mounted at Nokia Campus next week.

An industry group driven by Nokia Bell Labs builds concrete enablers for a future smart city with an ambitious three-year joint project called LuxTurrim5G.
